About You

I have a story idea

I have a topic that may be a good fit for a newsroom story, news release or message for the TRU community.

Do you have a story about student, faculty or staff success? Got news that builds TRU’s reputation or has impact on the community or beyond? Need to share something with TRU faculty and staff?

Here are the questions we’d like you to answer best as possible to help us fully understand your needs.

  1. What is your news? When is it happening? Please provide facts (who, what, where, when, why and how).
  2. Who do you want to reach (students, faculty, staff, other)?
  3. Why do you think it’s important to share? Is there an action you want them to take after reading your news?
  4. How does your news elevate TRU’s reputation? Provide details, please.
  5. Do you have thoughts on visuals that would best supplement the story? Do they already exist?
  6. Who is the approval point (please include contact information)?
